“In 2003, I was diagnosed with three herniated discs. After unsuccessful physical therapy, VAX traction, acupuncture, and several strong doses of anti-inflammatories, I underwent surgery. In 2005, I was told that the discs had become inflamed and I would have to undergo surgery again, this time to fuse the discs.
