“Well, I guess I’ll be staying in NY for the summer. I am embarrassed to even look at myself ‘cause I am so damn small, I mean I did my first workout of the summer today and I weighed right at 186, 187. What the hell is that? I have a job to do. I have a great swing now, and will continue to work on that swing and make it my own. I also need to pull off a miracle and gain about 20 pounds. When I do, I am going to keep it on and stay motivated and disciplined. Jack has me on an awesome program. I could only do 225 pounds on bench, and 40 on pullovers, 140 on power clean; that’s how week I am, it’s bad.”

“Finishing up the semester and it has gone pretty well. I’ll probably have two A’s and two B’s; not bad for me. I worked very hard and did what I had to do. Jack and I are going on vacation as a graduation present for me. It will be a lot of fun to see the world a little bit. I am really looking forward to this season; it will be very successful season for me as well as my team. I know I am going to have an absolutely amazing season. Why?

I am mentally ready for having fun playing baseball; this is why it is going to be a successful season for me. I know I am going to fail, I’m going to strike out, ground out, pop out, get caught stealing. I am going to, I accept it. I am also going to hit homeruns, steal bases, hit doubles, singles, triples, and make great plays – “Champions succeed where failure is most attainable.” As far as training goes, I am pretty jacked right now. My latest weight on the scale is 220; usually right around there. My overall body strength is amazing.

A lot of people don’t realize how strong I am because they do not except the fact that my training works. Doing 95-pound pullovers (three sets of 20), which is what I am doing right now, doesn’t work? Yeah right! Try doing it is what I say. Or as Jack says, “Those who don’t know or understand, Mock,” which is absolutely true. I can’t tell you how many times people are like, “That doesn’t work,” or “That’s ridiculous,” but they have no idea what is going on. What still amazes me is how strong and big I got in such a short amount of time. I think I said this earlier but last year in June, around the 18th or so, I started training again with Jack’s Mantione Method. I really was a wimp, I was at 187 pounds. I seriously weighed myself and couldn’t believe it. I trained until like early August; I stopped around the 10th. So I trained around a month and a half. I weighed in at 212 during physicals at the first week of school which started August 21st.”

“Well, I am back at school; nothing new. I have been here so damn long I feel like I grew up here. But I came back here to enjoy myself by playing baseball anyway, so it’s nice being back here for that since that’s all I want to do. Vacation…the best time of my life… wow! Everyone is so cool and nice. In a way, it was just my kind of lifestyle.

I trained with Jack a few times, doing short sprint work and weights. I finished up with doing 6 power cleans at 215, 4 cleans at 235, and 3 cleans at 255. The weird thing was I finished my 3 at 255 and kept going until I did 6 of them. I felt so strong I just kept going. I actually amazed myself. Three 95-pound sets of 20 on pullovers. 460 on the bench at 3 sets of 5. Oh yeah, I showed him how I could do 225 on the bench, 29 times full range. This is probably my hardest workout.

It’s honestly hard to walk when I get done. Then, of course, stretch and do cross crawl when I am finished. God I feel so damn strong it’s great. I know this kind of strength is pretty much unattainable, but not with the stuff I am doing. I am proof, and even I didn’t believe it could be done, but now I know. Sure I could have taken steroids, but I am smarter than that, I work for what I want and don’t want something like that in my body. Why would I want to cheat myself? If I did do that I would lose it anyway. I have built pure muscle, which I will not lose and I am proud of it. If I didn’t have Jack or Joe, I probably would have resorted to steroids and have health problems later in life but I won’t because I know what really works, my brother’s Mantione Method.”
